So how do I achieve it all in 20 minutes?
There are only six machines that you have to work out on. Each machine will target a specific muscle group.
You will move slowly and the weights are set so that within 8 repetitions you will reach 'momentary muscle failure.'
1 rep will only take 20 seconds (10 seconds each way) so you will spend a maximum of 3 minutes on each machine.
You then move quickly to the next machine and do another slow exercise targeting a different muscle group until you complete all six machines.
All sessions are by appointment only and completely private (with only you and your own personal fitness coach) so there will be no waiting for the next machine to be available.
Why only once a week?
Your muscles need rest.
When you do your workout at FutureFit, your goal is to reach 'momentary muscle failure.'
'Momentary muscle failure' is essential. It is the foundation of the High Intensity Training. When you exercise until you can't do it anymore, that means your muscles have 'failed.' Failing is a good thing at FutureFit!
When you work out to 'momentary muscle failure', that is when your body triggers a cascade of chemical reactions. Your muscles start to rebuild itself. It sees the intense workout as an 'attack' so it has to build itself to be stronger than before; to be ready for the next 'attack.'
Your body will immediately build itself to be stronger.
And this rest and rebuilding process will typically take 4-7 days.
And if you try to do more intense exercises before you are fully recovered, you will not progress.
Why can't I do this a regular gym?
The machines at FutureFit are special.
The machines are made by MedX and were produced in the US.
Some of them may look the same but these machines are superior. The machines were chosen because with only six machines, your whole body gets a workout.
Each machine targets a specific muscle group and your Fitness Coach has been trained to adjust each machine to your body so that these muscles and only these muscles are being worked on.
And only at FutureFit, your workout is completely distraction free - with only you and your Fitness Coach in your own workout suite. There are no mirrors or music to distract
(We even make sure all our team members only wear rubber-soled shoes to minimize the noise in the centre!)
Why do I need a Fitness Coach? Can't I just do this by myself?
Your goal is to reach momentary muscle failure. That itself, is a monumental task!
When you carry out a difficult physical task, like High Intensity Training, your mind will tell your body to quit before your body reaches it's limit. You will reach your psychological limit before you reach your physical limit.
The Fitness Coach's task is to motivate you to break through that psychological limit. He will push you to your physical limit so that you reach momentary muscle failure, each and every time.
You will feel a great achievement at the end of every workout.
Your fitness coach also has set all the machines up even before you arrive to ensure you don't have to wait.
So how does this benefit me?
There are many benefits of High Intensity Training. It will help in weight loss, tones your body and increase your stamina (amongst others!)
Weight loss
When you do High Intensity Training, your body builds more muscles. Muscles burn more energy (calories!). The more muscles you have, the more calories you burn. Even at rest. Yes, that's right... you will burn more calories even when you're not exercising! If you couple this to a healthy diet, you will see yourself losing weight.
Toning
The exercise that you do in FutureFit is not bodybuilding; it's muscle building. Yes, there's a difference. Bodybuilding requires you to consume a massive amount of calories (and supplements) to promote the unnatural growth of large muscles. You will not end up looking like a pumped up body-builder if you don't eat like a body-builder.
Every session you do, you will exercise your whole body. So you will get a well-balanced whole-body workout. And the more muscle you build the more it craves calories, the more fat from your own body will disappear!
Yes... those jiggly bits will start to disappear!
Increase Stamina
When you exercise regularly, you will teach your muscles to do 2 things:
1) use less oxygen
2) use the oxygen more efficiently
You only have the heart and lungs that you were born with. You can't make them grow.
But you can make the demand for blood and oxygen lower.
And that will increase your stamina.
When do I start seeing the difference?
You will start noticing you're stronger almost right away. If you play football, you will notice that your kicks are getting further. If you play golf, you'll notice that your drive is going further.
Within a few months, you will notice your body changing - you will get more toned. And if you exercise regularly at FutureFit and eat a sustained healthy diet, you will start to lose weight.
